Send Email and SMS Tracking Notifications
Customers love knowing exactly where their order is after checkout.
But too many brands still leave them guessing, leading to frustrated shoppers and endless “Where’s my order?” messages.
If you’ve got a free Interparcel account, you can easily fix this with Email and SMS Notifications.
With just a few clicks, your customers can get updates at every stage of the delivery journey:
Booked → On Its Way → Out for Delivery → Delivered
Follow these steps to enable them:
Option 1: Automate Notifications for All Orders
- Log in to your Interparcel Account. Hover over the My Account tab and click Settings. In the left-hand menu, select the Communications tab.
- Choose the notifications you’d like to activate and tick the boxes next to your chosen notifications:
- Email (Free): Booked, On Its Way, Out for Delivery, Delivered
- SMS (40c + GST per text): Out for Delivery, Delivered
That’s it! Your customers will now receive automatic updates every step of the way.
Option 2: Enable Notifications for a Specific Order
You can also turn on or edit notifications for individual orders directly from your Shipping Manager.- From the Order List: Click the three dots (⋮) next to the order and select Notifications.
- From the Icon: Alternatively, click the Notifications icon displayed in the order.
- From the Order Details Window: Open the order and go to the Notifications section within the details window.
- A pop-up will appear. Select whether to send Email or SMS notifications, and which delivery stages to include (Booked, On Its Way, Out for Delivery, Delivered). Click Save Changes to confirm.
Your customer will now receive updates for that order only.
