Create Automation Rules: Create a Rule
Please see below for instructions on how to set up a shipping rule within your Interparcel account:
- Login to your Interparcel account. Hover over My Shipping Tools and click Rule Manager.
- Click Add a New Rule.
- Give it a name. For example, Shopify Orders.
- Set the conditions. This is what the Rule Manager will look for when an order is imported. For example, set the Platform as Shopify.
- Select an action. This is what will happen when an orders meets the conditions criteria. For example, set the Service to StarTrack Premium.
- Click Save Rule.
- You can change the order, amend or delete it whenever you need to by clicking the re-order, pencil or bin icons.
- In this example, all orders imported from your Shopify platform will get shipped via Startrack Premium.
- There are some crucial factors to remember when you set rules:
- The information on your inventory page will always override rules regarding dimensions and weights. You will need to adjust them to 0 in the inventory for the rule to work.
- After you set up a rule, it will apply to any newly imported orders. It won't work retrospectively.
- Rules will work in the order they're set. You will need to reorder the list if there are any conflicts.
