Sponsorship & Support

See how we support Australian organisations and charity initiatives. We believe in cooperativeness and personal growth. By helping these organisations we would like to make a positive impact on the community.

Ronald McDonald House Charities

In October 2022, ten Interparcel employees took over the kitchen at Ronald McDonald House Randwick as part of the Home for Dinner initiative. Our CEO was joined by team members in marketing, HR and our contact centre to unleash their inner chef.

They chopped, peeled, and cooked some outstanding dishes, including baked rice, potato salad and chicken kebabs fresh off the BBQ for 70 people within the facility. It was a beautiful experience for the team at Interparcel, and we felt honoured to continue to support this incredible organisation.

Our Digital Marketing Specialist, Laura Hurtado, participated in the Three Peaks Challenge in October 2022. But due to wild winds and heavy snow, it turned into the One Peak Challenge. Laura and the team she travelled with braved the conditions and trekked 18 km over 8 hours to the top of Mount Kosciuszko.

The day would not have been possible without Inspired Adventures and Peak Learning Adventures, who were incredible support on the day and ensured everyone was safe. The best part is that Laura and her travelling partners raised a total of $22,400 for Ronald McDonald House Charities. These vital funds will go towards the renovation project for the Randwick facility.

Interparcel CEO, Steve Zammit, participated in the CEO Walk in My Shoes run by Ronald McDonald House Charities Sydney.

Steve cooked and served dinner and breakfast to families, navigated real-life scenarios and gained an insight into what it takes to run the Randwick premises.

The organisation features a house in Randwick that provides families and children travelling to receive treatment from Sydney Children's Hospital with a home away from home.

It contains communal facilities and a social and supportive environment to make the experience just a little bit easier for everyone.

Aussie Bobsleigh Team Support

Interparcel is thrilled to support the Aussie Bob Squad so they can compete in competitions and tournaments around the world. Many other countries have substantial national programs to support the athletes. But the Aussie Bob Squad are entirely self-funded and manages everything themselves, including accommodation, airfares, and administration.

The Aussie Bob Squad team consists of a talented group of athletes with different backgrounds ranging from soccer to CrossFit. Meet the team here!

Australian Wildlife Conservation

We want to make everyone aware of the issues that koalas are facing, such as vehicle accidents, dogs attacks and land development. In commitment with the conservation and expansion of Australian wildlife, we at Interparcel are supporting the Port Macquaire Koala Hospital by adopting Ocean Summer.

We also contributed by planting a tree for each Interparcel team member for the conservation of their habitat and made a monetary donation for the Hospital Management to keep on track with their awesome activity of rescue, rehabilitation and releasing these little creatures.

This is Ocean Summer's story…

In late 2012 a healthy female koala and her joey were both hit by a car in Port Macquarie. Sadly, the mother did not survive and the young joey was taken into one of the hospital staff member's home to be cared for. Ocean Summer was highly traumatised by the event and took quite some time to settle down. Eventually she accepted the human contact and began to grow. The "foster mother" noticed that Summer was not responding very well to stimuli and it wasn't long before we realised that Summer could not see.

Donations to the Hospital will also help establish the world's first wild Koala breeding program to build a facility that allows the breeding of 30 koalas per year to be released into the wild.

We are happy to support Port Macquarie Koala Hospital to look after these amazing and threatened Australian wildlife icons.
