In 1907, at the age of just 19, James E Casey borrowed $100 from a friend and started American Messenger Company, a local messenger company in Seattle, making most deliveries on foot and bicycle. After six years, the company acquired its first delivery car, a Model T Ford and in 1919 changed the business name to United Parcel Service.

Today, UPS have grown into one of the most recognised and esteemed brands in the world with the largest express, package delivery services in more than 220 countries, delivering over 18 million parcels a day.
