Did you know that Google processes over 99,000 searches every single second?

It's still one of the best platforms to increase the number of leads coming to your business. You can also use it to improve your conversion and grow your customer base. One way to achieve this quickly is using Google Ads, formerly Google AdWords.

The good news is that it's easy to start using Google Ads. Learn more about this service and how to use it below.

The Types of Google Ads

You have multiple choices regarding the campaign you want to display on Google Ads. The type of business you run will depend on which one will be best for you. A few of the most popular include:

Search Campaign

This is the traditional method where your ad will appear when a specific keyword is used on Google. It will display at the top and make it clear that it's an advertisement instead of one of the search results.

For example, if you sell water bottles and create an ad based on this keyword, your website will appear at the top of the results. It gives you a high chance that the person will click on the link due to its placement.

Shopping Campaign

You might have noticed that images from various stores will appear when you search for a product. These are another type of Google Ads campaign. They also appear in the Google Shopping results.

This campaign can provide you with hot leads to your website. The customer is already searching for the product, and this ad allows them to go directly to the page on your website to purchase it.

Video Campaign

If you're looking for a different type of ad, then you might want to try a video campaign for YouTube. You don't necessarily have to create a film that appears before or during clips. There are other options that are less intrusive.

For example, you can display your ad on top of the video with a button that takes viewers to your website. Alternatively, there are banners that appear above recommendations or what will play next.

How to Use Google Ads

It's simple to get started with Google Ads. However, you should do some research before you launch your first campaign. You'll want to know the right keywords related to your business and how much it costs to bid on them. You should also know the best type of ad to run. Once you know this, you're ready to create your first one.

Choose Your Advertising Goal

Once you hit the new campaign button in the dashboard, Google will ask you what your goal is. Do you want more customers calling you? Maybe you need people going to your website. If you have a physical store, you can choose the option for extra visits.

Enter Your Details

Next, you'll need to provide Google with your business name, the location visitors will go when they click on your ad, and the keywords you want to target. This is where your research will come in handy.

Select Your Audience

Now you'll get to choose who will see your ad. It could be people in live in a specific area, or it might be a broader region. You can also advertise to the whole country if you like.

Create Your Ad

This is the step where you create your ad. Google will provide you with all the details it needs to put it together. There is even a preview box so you can get an idea of what it will look like.

Add Your Billing Information

The final step is to pay for Google Ads. Enter your payment information into the relevant fields and hit the submit button to launch your campaign.

Keep Track of Your Performance

While your campaign is up and running, you should monitor its performance. You can review plenty of metrics to ensure the ad meets your expectations. If it's not, you can alter it or create a brand new one.

A good strategy is to run multiple campaigns that are distinctly different. After a month or two, review the performance and only keep the ones that are having the most significant impact. Create more ads that are similar and continue to analyse the data on a regular basis. It will help you reach your objectives and scale your business.
