How did you start your business?
I've been in high powered business roles all my life, I felt it was time to begin an adventure of my own. I have always dreamt about owning a record store.
In May 2019 I began TNB Records, initially we started off reselling cassettes. My office was a shelf, then I moved into a bedroom, then a garage and now we have a team of 4 in a custom built warehouse.
12 months ago we got into new vinyl and that's been a huge transition, we have gone from strength to strength since. We have grown into one of Australia's largest online record companies, with some of the broadest range of titles and the largest amount of stock on hand.
We have 12 to 15 suppliers from all over the world that we work with. We actually use Interparcel to bring stock in from our suppliers as well as to send products out to our customers. We have found that we can get much better rates organising shipping through Interparcel instead of using the suppliers delivery options.

At the beginning I was walking to the post office every day to send off orders, it was a guessing game as we never knew how much it was going to cost.
