What is the Smart Boxing feature?
Smart Boxing is a handy feature that you can enable from our dashboard to automatically package multi-item orders into as few boxes as possible. All you need to do is update your regular shipping boxes and product measurements in your account.
Why use Smart Boxing on parcel delivery?
You won't need to think which is the best box to send all the items or how many you need anymore. At Interparcel we make it easy for you. Enable the Smart Boxing option to automate your orders. Our Shipping Manager will tell you how many items fit in each package for the same order, it will help you save time and optimise the space in your boxes or satchels.
Thanks to the Smart Boxing feature you will also reduce shipping costs by packing and sending the right number of parcels. It will help you avoid overspending on parcel delivery.
How to use the Smart Boxing option?
Activate the Smart Boxing option in 3 easy steps!
1- Indicate your box measurements
Log into your Interparcel account. Go to 'My Shipping Tools' and click on 'Smart Boxing'. You can then add the boxes that you have available.
2- Indicate your product measurements
You will also need to make sure your product measurements are indicated in your online store or our platform. For our Shopify users, you will need to do it on our platform by going to the 'Inventory' tab and clicking 'Import Cart Products' and introducing the measurements.
If you own a WooCommerce store you will have to define them in your Wordpress platform in the product page and import them.
3- Enable the Smart Boxing option
To activate the Smart Boxing feature, click on the 'Smart Boxing' tab and activate the option. When fulfilling your orders our algorithm will help you pack your products into the appropriate box.
