  • Forklift: Some services require a forklift to be available at the collection or delivery address. Check the service description carefully before booking.
  • B2B Service: A B2B (business-to-business) service requires pickup from and delivery to a business address. This refers to a commercial location such as a storefront, warehouse, or business premises, and does not include locations where a business is operated from a home or private residence.

Step 4: Print and Attach Your Label

After completing your booking, you will be redirected to a confirmation page with all the necessary shipping documents.

Print your shipping label and apply it to each side and the top of your pallet. Position each label so it is flat, visible, and not folded around any edges or corners.

You will also receive a confirmation email with all your shipping documentation and instructions for your chosen service.

For guidance on how to pack and wrap your pallet before attaching your labels, check out our How to Pack a Pallet guide.

Step 5: Prepare for Collection

Before the driver arrives, make sure the following are in order:

  • Vehicle Access: Pallets are collected by large trucks. Ensure your premises are easily accessible for heavy vehicles and that there is clear space for loading.
  • Loading Equipment: Have a pallet jack or forklift ready. Unless specified in the service description, drivers do not carry this equipment and it is the sender's responsibility to provide it.
  • Be Ready: All packaging and labelling must be completed before the driver arrives. Your pallet should be positioned and ready for immediate collection. For a full checklist of what to do before your pallet is collected, check out our How to Pack a Pallet guide.

FAQs

Do I need a tail lift for my pallet collection or delivery?

If your premises do not have a loading dock or a forklift at either the collection or delivery address, you must select a service that includes a tail lift. Make sure this option is selected for both ends of the journey to avoid any issues when the truck arrives.

How do I measure my pallet for a quote?

Measure the total length, width, and height from the widest points of your fully packed and wrapped pallet. This includes the timber pallet at the base and any items or packaging that extend beyond it. Do not estimate these figures. The total weight must also include the weight of the timber pallet itself.

When sending multiple boxes, is it better to use a pallet or individual parcels?

If you have a large number of boxes going to the same destination, consolidating them onto a pallet is usually the better option. A pallet is faster for the courier and keeps your goods safer since everything travels as one unit.

Do I need to be available for the collection?

Yes, someone needs to be at the address on your chosen collection date and time. You will also need to have the right loading equipment ready, such as a pallet jack or forklift, so the driver can load the pallet safely and stay on schedule.

Can I change my booking after I've paid?

If you notice a mistake in the address or pallet details after completing your booking, please reach out to our customer support team as soon as possible via live chat, email, or phone. We can often update details if the courier has not yet been dispatched, though some changes may require the original booking to be cancelled and re-booked.

Where can I find my shipping labels?

Once you complete your booking, your labels will be available on the confirmation page for immediate download and will also be sent to your inbox in your booking confirmation email. If you have an Interparcel account, you can log in at any time, hover over My Account, click My Orders, and reprint labels for any active shipments.

What if my pallet is not ready when the driver arrives?

If your pallet is not ready at the agreed collection time, the driver may not be able to wait, and the booking may need to be rescheduled. To avoid this, make sure everything is packed, wrapped, labelled, and in position before your collection window begins.
